Theresa May sidesteps question about £995 leather trousers

The prime minister was interrogated after it emerged she wore the expensive trousers and a pair of £295 Burberry trainers when photographed by the Sunday Times last month.

Theresa May has been pushed over her decision to put on a £995 set of set pants for a paper photoshoot by a news reporter on a journey to Bahrain, but sidestepped the query to persist she was working for everyone in England.

The pm was interrogated after it appeared she used the pants and a set of £295 Burberry instructors when captured by the End of the week Periods a few weeks ago.

May was also inquired about her choice of goose for Xmas supper rather than a standard poultry, but responded that her style options or joyful selection did not mean she was remote from the public.

Giving a look of light exasperation, May responded: “I was standing on the actions of Drinking Road and said what I did about the significance of a nation that performs for everyone because that’s what I have observed from individuals as I’ve gone around the nation, as I’ve met individuals in a whole wide range of conditions.

“I believe it is necessary for political figures to get out and about and that’s what I continue to. It is essential we have a nation that performs for everyone.”

Over the weekend, Nicky Morgan, the former knowledge assistant who was sacked by May, said the pants had been “noticed and discussed” in local Tory sectors. “I don’t have set pants. I don’t think I’ve ever invested that much on anything apart from my bridal outfit,” Morgan said.

On Wednesday, the Conventional MP Nadine Dorries curved on Morgan for criticising May’s outfit feeling, indicating that men politician would get no such critique.

Calling the former knowledge assistant “sacked Nicky Morgan”, Dorries tweeted:

In her meeting with the End of the week Periods in Nov, May said she did not have a beautician but took style guidance from her spouse, John p. “He’s efficient at components, too,” she said, “particularly efficient at selecting purses and handbags and wristbands for provides, and efficient at blossoms.”

On Thursday, the Stereo Periods released a meeting in which the pm exposed that she recommended goose for Xmas supper, viewing Physician Who over the joyful year and hearing to Stereo Berkshire in the nights before bed.
