Halifax firefighters were suggesting drivers to avoid using the Bedford Street major into the town early today after a fire split out along a busy area of the way.
The flame division said they had five vehicles at the field on the way, about 10 kilometers from the center of the town near the junction with Mill-view Opportunity.
More firefighting vehicles were considered to be on the way.
The road was obstructed off near The Esquire cafe due to the fireplace
