There were no grouchy quips about millennial right. Rather, Stanford beach ball trainer David Dunning provided intelligent and comical findings during last month's last four when inquired about having so much youngsters in his system this past season: 12 freshmen and sophomores mixed, children created 10 years after he'd won his first nationwide headline in 1985.
"They have so much energy. Sometimes I have to go away the room because it's frustrating me," he said with a grin. "And there are other times I just sit and grin.
"All they do is perform and dancing. And I think they are going to get exhausted -- that we should practice more because they're going to use it all up before the game begins, because they're dancing so much. But you kind of move with some things."
He and the Primary mixed all the way to the NCAA headline, attaching Penn Condition for most Department I females beach ball competition with seven. Now after 32 periods as an excellent trainer -- divided equally between Ocean and Stanford, 16 years at each university -- and more than four years in the game overall, Dunning outdated Thursday.
